I met a patient yesterday in my stroke prevention clinic who was put on Aspirin of 75mg once a day for his ischaemic infarction of cerebral posterior circulation and cerebellar infarction with an extensive vertebral artery dissection on the left.
I started him on Warfarin which is indicated in this case to prevent further clots. How long you think he should continue on the Warfarin?. He is not in AF.

it depend on comorbidity and condition vessel. minimum 3-6 month should be continued until comlication and in that case, we can use newer oral anticoagulant.
