The BMJ needs to know this is happening. If it is due to Moderators or members, it is both divisive and overly zealous. Some liberty of expression should be permitted lest this becomes doctored2doc. I don't live in a police state although some members may.
A virus or software issue may be the explanation but somehow I doubt it as it is too selective. |

Hello Odysseus: I understand and share with you your disappointment with these disappearence of posts. It looks like it had not happened only with your posts. Other people (myself included) have complained about this same problem. If this happened because of any kind of censorship, I would find it unacceptable, just because I did not see any offensive posts coming from you. And I do trust our moderators! It is late sunday evening where I live. Our moderators, for sure, will soon tell us what is going on. All Best, Joey

Nice to hear from you, Joey. It is Monday afternoon where I am as we get up earlier here than our once colonial masters. I hear the French are going to move zero longitude from Greenwich to Paris where they have an atomic clock. It will be called Atomic Time or Sarkozy Time which should not be confused with Berlusconi Time which would be useless as it means Any Time.

Hello all We have been experiencing problems with posts updating and this is technology related. The problem started on Thursday but seemed to go back to normal. But throughout Friday we had massive problems with the Recent Open Discussions widget on the right hand side of the homepage and also on the blogs section. It was confusing for us because at times it appeared to be normal and then other times we could see that posts were not appearing. We contacted our developers Pluck about this problem and they seemed to have fixed it by Saturday morning GMT. However, if you do experience or spot any problems with the site please do email us on: community.doc2doc@bmjgroup.com I shall get an answer from our developers about lost posts and get to the bottom of why this happened. Thanks, Guys. We are all glad that is only a software problem as I was getting paranoid and had to up my Seroquel to a sublethal dose. Anyone got some Diprovan? I thought for a while it was either the Chinese Secret Service or a Trojan Horse or Cyber-Worm from Dr Who trying to takes us to a parallel universe where there was no Greece, no Euro and no Greek irregular verbs. |

A post that I was particularly fond of that listed drugs that can be confused with other drugs disappeared. I do try to censore myself sometimes but this wasn't one of those occassions. We think it is back to normal but we are watching it closely. I missed the comments on the other thread otherwise would have responded sooner. In retrospect we should have said earlier we were having problems but we thought, as you do, they would get it fixed before we'd finished posting. We live and learn. Sorry everyone. |
