TRUS is increasingly being used as a specialized sonographic examination. What is TRUS?
It means transrectal ultrasound.
The prostate is the main organ that is studied by TRUS examination.
But other structures are also imaged in this study.
Can you name the structures arrowed in this short Ultrasound video (TRUS)?

Answer: the arrows point to vas deferens on either side, as they join the seminal vesicles to enter the prostate. The final merged duct forms the ejaculatory duct on either side, opening into the prostatic urethra.
