What do you think is abnormal in these ultrasound images taken in a 27 year old lady with infertility and irregular menses? In Response to Re: Pelvic ultrasound quiz of young infertile female: uterus apear normal. both ovaries show PCOS,but these high vascularity appear with dopler,neded to exclude any border line malignancy.Good and careful counselling is curicial.LMP.is highly important.counseling for pelvic laparscopic exam,+/-ovarian drilling or biopsy.Preoperative MRI is highly helpful. many thanks for your time. The answer: PCOD -polycystic ovarian disease with pelvic congestion - the dilated, multiple vessels seen on Power Doppler imaging.....seen as colored tubular structures around the ovaries. Joe
