What was your hospital mortality a decade ago? What is it now? Is it possible to improve steadily over a period of time? Who has improved? Who has got worse? Do you know? Do you want to know? Taking a long perspective comparing the present with 1998 it looks like Bradford and Airedale have moved from a high to a low mortality. Chelsea & Westminster remain a low mortality hospital. Interestingly, about 5 of the so called high mortality hospitals now were high mortality hospitals even in 1998. http://successinhealthcare.blogspot.co.uk/2012/01/mortality-1998-now-what-can-we-learn.html |
