I have flickering lights in my peripheral vision this morning and know that I'm about to have a migraine. I hate migraines although knowing mine are sensory has removed my fear of having a premature stroke. When I got into the BMJ a colleague had found this on the BBC news site:

Apparently botox is approved as a treament for chronic migraines (which I don't have) but Nice says there is inufficient evidence it works. What is interesting is that the Migraine Society is said to be disappointed (why if there isn't evidence) and that you need 31 injections every 12 weeks. Is it put anywhere where it will also reduce wrinkles?.

Botox for migraine

( Injection sites for migraine, round the head and neck, could well resolve wrinkles )

Researches are still underway, for the efficacy of Botox for migraine prevention before it hits,
and there are promising results

Who will benefit from botox ? still like overactive bladder 60% to 80% chance of good effect, as recent researches have shown in the Urodynamic clinic at London University College
