There is a feature in BMA news about role models. I think I have been cery priveliged to work with many excellent doctors but I was struck by the fact that negative role models can have as much an impact on us as positive . For me an example comes to mind of an excellent surgeon who always shouted at his juniors - the 'joke' being that we all said that it was better that he didn't know your name . Do you think positive or negative role models have the biggest impact? sadian |
