How do you practice empathy-based care in your dealings with patients?

I care about the whole person as a human being, not just as a patient with a concrete disease. I help them to climb and descend to the examination table, and as we walk to the weight scale I put my arm on the patiens shoulder. That has worked fine for me over the years. |
