My copy of the MPS casebook arrived over the weekend and I usually read it thinking there but for the grace. In this issue the acronym HALT caught my eye - this stands for Hungry, Angry, Late and Tired - describing the things that are happening to many doctors at the  time that adverse events are reported. I certainly recognise the phenomenon! I was struck by two thoughts - this must be common and as doctors we should take better care of ourselves to benefit our patients.
