I haven't heard of this one before. Just doctors talking to patients about faith/religion. Is this a direct experience you've encountered? In Response to DOCTORS preaching Koran to juniours-is that permissable?: Coming from a country where the religion is not an issue – people respect each other’s religion, and DO NOT preach, neither try to impose their own beliefs to others, I am surprised to find out that there are doctors in the UK who openly preach the Koran to their juniors. I am aware that according to the GMC, doctors are not allowed to impose personal or religious beliefs on patients, but what about doctors to doctors? If you are aware of such regulations, please can you help me to find more information? Posted by drmk |

Is this a direct experience you've encountered? In Response to DOCTORS preaching Koran to juniours-is that permissable? : Posted by mbillingsley Yes, it is. When I raised my concerns I ended up in exclusion. Also they asked me to go and seek OH assessment. The OH came clear. It has been now half an year since then, however - no outcomes of the "suspension". What would you do in this situation? Especially if you have to apply for other jobs? What would you say? Is preaching the Koran permissible? Is this something to do with the NHS local Trust policies? What does the Law say about this? |
