As you may know the New England Journal of Medicine is celebrating its 200th anneversary this year.  As part of that celebration the Journal is publishing articles on two hundred years of progress in the understanding and treatment of diseases.  Recently diabetes had its turn.  Ken Polonsky from Chicago wrote the piece.  i recommend it highly to those interested in diabetes.  it gives a nice perspective as to where we have come from, where we are and where we need to go forward.
