In Response to Re: Is this the end of the stethoscope in cardiovascular examination?: No medical student will be able to afford the pocket echo machinces, nor will have the experience to use one. And without our stetchs hung proudly around our necks how will the public know who we are? My steth with never crash or run out of batteries. I dont need to have worried about it being hacked and patient data being taken from it. It can be easily wiped down between patients and is great to catch the attention of a baby when I'm trying to examine it or assess its developmental level of reaching for objects Long live the humble steth Posted by DrS I do agree with you. Technological advances should never be at the expense of the essential clinical skills. |
