I saw this about a panel of biomarkers

I'm begiinning to think that all we are do is adding tests for the worried well to do - if I remember Interheart correctly most our risk can be explained by the traditional risk factors so does adding more blood tests change anything?

I agree with you. They are getting just too much.

By the way, what do you with those 5th or 6th generation lightly elevated troponin levels in the Coronary Unit?

Nowadays I see all the time these kind of values: 0.09; 0.12. in ventilated patients with multiple organ dysfuntion, or severe sepsis. The residents get very miuch worried.

I think that if you apply all these new biomarkers at the beach during summertime, there will be a number of them testing positive.
