This is the anterior papillary muscle. It is very hypertrophied as is the rest of the left ventricle shown here. I think there are quite significant ethnic differences in how the heart hypertrophies in response to the pressure load of hypertension. Do you agree?

I do agree.

Black people tend to have more Left Ventricular Hyperthrophy associated with hypertension.
