It's pretty difficult to get these measures to encompass everything, but they looked at GDP, life expectancy, quality of life, green spaces, pollution/climate, political freedom and gender equality. It also takes into account economic forecasts for 2030 to predict what sort of life a child born today will have once they reach adulthood.
