The doctor holds UK citizenship and his wife is a clinical lecturer. The BMA are concerned about losing this doctor because of the skils he brings to the country and they say that the deal should be that the NHS should make allowances such as this as an incentive to work over here.
We don't know the circumstances of the doctor's mother. She may be isolated or alone, or she may have a large family. Should the NHS promise doctors that they can move their families over? How is this different to any other profession like banking, engineering, education?
