The linked to Mail article (sorry) has interview excerpts from a cognitive psychologist who has worked with him and said "He’s quite disarming and that’s much harder to deal with than someone who’s deranged. But there’s no conscience, no guilt – he sees those things as “delusions of morality”. So what you are confronted with is a kind of alien who doesn’t think like you think but is a very powerful character."
This account makes him sound criminally insane to me but I'm not a psychologist or psychiatrist. How can we know if he is of sound mind to starve himself? (I know this question is loaded because what I'm asking you is if he is insane...)
