BMA News: Money for junior doctors’ training is under threat unless a sweeping review of the funding system is halted, the BMA said today. The BMA junior doctors committee has asked the Department of Health to halt the review of the MPET (multi-professional education and training) levy, which funds undergraduate and postgraduate education and training for healthcare workers. Daily Mail: Researchers from Reading University are suggesting bubbles in champagne, cava and prosecco contain vasodilating polyphenols, "easing the strain on the heart and brain". BMJ: Throughout his adult life, Darwin endured a chronic, relapsing illness. This was present even before he sailed on HMS Beagle in 1831. This feature comments how Darwin’s symptoms are those of cyclical vomiting syndrome. |

All - the BMJ podcast this week includes a package on the Darwin paper, and very entertaining it is too. It should be out on Friday. |
