Where is that information from, kirked? Because if anyone has asked me, which nation's diplomats are the greatest scoff-laws in London, I would have said the US, whose Embassy have said right from the start that the London Congestion Charge did not apply to them. ]The BBC says that since the CC was started in 2003 the total unpaid diplomatic bill is £58 MILLION, with the US owing £4 million. It was quoted in the Telegraph and comes from Westminster Council I believe. In New York the Americans deduct the annual sums owed by country from their Aid contributions to that country. I did not know the states were above the congestion charge!! Bloody cheek!!!!

Terrorism by  bearded fanatics cannot be completely ruled out.,though I believe  security  has been a top priority.Exotic and unknown ailments from the far corners of the earth is a possibility, but unlikely.Already, the North Korean delegation is furious about the flag episode.Similar foul ups can be expected, but hopefully not playing the wrong National Anthem. That will cause a riot.

John,   Alot of the courses are from USA FEMA,   CDC,  CME outfitters,   International Antiviral society,  BMJ - HERE, etc,   so No they are not trivial!!    Nor do I fail to do justice to them, since my average score is well over 93%,  most cases 98% or better!   By  the way,  they are Elearning courses I was speaking of,  and Most of them free, from reputable colleges and Govt agencies.  I see the courses as a way for me to stimulate my mind,  I also read other materials, and take up other things as well.   DuaneF

"Learn something new every day" - Aristotle? A good strategem, but needs to be targeted. I love new words, new to me anyway.  Would that be enumeratable?  Not very useful.   But, three 'courses' a day? Have to say, Duane, that 900 courses in a year sounds to me that either they are trivial, or you cannot do justice to the content of any of them.     Here in the UK, a "course of study" means a structured, usually mentored or taught period of time in which you add knowledge and methods to your store.   What are these 900 courses of yours?  But we stray far from the thread title.  Start a new one if you wish?   "My favourite course of study"? I don't know what the "London Businesses" are talking about.  On my days off from the Park this week, I've around and about London, via wtareloo, London Bridge main line stations, to  South Ken, South Bank, and save the City it's been rammed with people, sitting outside cafes, eating, drinking, buying souvenirs.   Looks might good business to me!
