MBillingsley and I have been discussing how best to say thank you to those who make doc2doc such an enriching community. I would like to ask everyone to nominate the member who has taught / inspired/ caused reflection. I'm hoping to use the nominations to create a poll so that if you like we can have the 'doc2doc-er' of the year. I do not mean this to be divisive in any way - more to say thank you.
sadian

ps clinical champions and moderators will be excluded from the poll!

I nominate Dr Ashutosh,  since his information posts on medical topics are timely, extensive, and high quality.  He should also consider offering courses for credit,  I believe his posts along with questions could well be a form of Computer based training, and serve to bolster clinical skills.

From Odisseus, by all means, from his obvious brode knowledge, phylosophic thinking and very specific point of view.

Bits from lots of people
But I suppose you see some posting often and get to know them.
So I would say all the above (is that allowed|) but also JohnD, hip radiologist, Adrian Leahy, alicelomax and Happy
and probably lots of others
.

I haven´t been here so long, so this is just an impression.

A list some people would certainly be on ...:

John D, SkyeSteve, DundeeChest, Odysseus, Kirked, AliceLomax, Dr.Ashutosh, AdrianLeahy

This is not ranked !!

It is also a pity that moderators can´t be nominated...

A merry Christmas to all of you !!!

I do appreciate this important post. It would be a difficult job to point out a single personality. I always enjoy posts from respected Odysseus, Skyesteve, Sadian, Carolin, respected DundeeChest, John D, Duane F, Matiram, Yoram and many more. I always find something to be learned from everybody, irrespective of the age, and I always consider myself to be a 'lifelong' student.
Wish you all a very happy Christmas!

My top five would be ( in no particular order).

Dr K. Ashutosh

Dr Odysseus

Dr John D

Dr Tim Reynolds

Dr Skysteve.

I would hasten to add that my other friends have been equally important: here's to you,  Kirked, Hip Radiologist, Dundee Chest, Duane F, Hemadri, Dr Diabetes, Matiram, Yoram Chatter and Dr Joey,Alice Lomax, Dr Linda and Dr Laura.

I would like it a step futher, and say, for me the post of the year was the interview of Dr Adrian Leahy.

The emerging star would be Dr Carolin, she has the makings of an young Dr Odysseus.

Merry Christmas and Peace to you all.

I nominate Duane, whose very different attitude to this pinko-liberal Britisher brings me a breath of fresh air;  and I would join him with Happy, as another interpeter of our American Cousins.

As the great Bob 'Oskins said, "It's good to talk!"

Thank you all very much for your support,   Happy, Dr Ashutosh, Drrathore, John D,  All of you.   We need to be cognizant of the fact Drrathore brings us superb clinical skills,   Happy always has a great skill in adding to a medical conversation,  Odysseus is the Backbone of all medicine,  and so many more to name. John D,  Thanks for your support,  I appreciate your British view of things,   You often serve as the Quenching oil bath to my sometimes Red hot American view of things.  I see medicine as more comprehensive when reading your posts,  your obviously a highly skilled Doctor.   I believe the answer to the USA's health care deficiencies is to bring Doctors from abroad like John D, and Skysteve, and have them serve as advisers to form a new system for America,  we have other commissions abroad, why not medicine?   Maybe our politicians will get wise to this?   MAYBE NOT!!!
Blessings to all....   DuaneF
