I've just recieved a Kindle ebook reader (wikipedia), and love it. I can certainly see the potential for fiction, but I was wondering about how good it would be for more academic material.
The screen is 6 inches diagonal and black-and-white, so diagrams in textbooks would probably need to be reformatted. But the advantage is you can carry the equivalent of a wheelbarrow of books in a gadget the size and weight of a paperback.
Has anyone else jumped on the ebook bandwaggon? And would anyone like to replace their bookshelves with an ebook, or would it just not be the same as paper?
