I think that as a default, it should be newest first, or else is there a way to set that when you do your search?

Hi John

I'm not sure what it's based on. It should be relevance or number of time the key word/s are used.

However, having just done a search for 'weight loss', my post on Weight loss programmes vs GP advice came up about third.... The search facility isn't the greatest but this is something we are looking to improve and willl look into it for you.

Thanks!

Looking again, I realise that each listed hit carries the writer's name, and details, which include the date of their latest post - in ANY thread - but does not give the date of the post!!   This is most confusing!
Please add the date of the post to the results of a search.

Hi John

I'm not seeing this problem myself - but perhaps I am mistaken? I searched 'whistleblow' and looked at the search results and it shows the date of when a user posted their comment. Do you mean that you would like to be able to filter results by most recent/first posts?

e.g.

could there please be an option to filter out duplicated posts.

If there has been a popular discussion about a particular item recently (especially if the word you're looking for was in the recent discussion's title), but thats not the one you're looking for you get overwhelmed with that and have to hunt through pages to find the one you want.

Perhaps let us search by blog, discussion or by individual posts??

Thanks for the suggestions - I will relay this back to our developers. Our search facility isn't the best so it would be great to be able to make searches more refined and intuitive.

Any other comments, do let us know
