The FDA has approved a combination vaccine to prevent infection by Neisseria meningitidisserogroups C and Y and Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) — causes of sepsis and meningitis — in infants and toddlers.
According to the FDA: "Menhibrix is given as a four-dose series at 2, 4, 6 and 12 through 15 months of age. The first dose may be given as early as 6 weeks of age. The fourth dose may be given as late as 18 months of age." |

The approval of 'Menhibrix', a combination vaccine to prevent bacterial meningitis in infants, by the FDA would be revolutionary to prevent many newborn deaths by sepsis & meningitis in infants as well as in toddlers. |
