With today's advancement in medicine, leadership & management skills are also required to be developed in order to manage the hospital administration effectively & confidently.

I think there is definitely a role for a greater emphasis on this.  It does need to be incorporated into training (from an undergraduate level, preferably) so that we can effect a culture change throughout the NHS.  My personal opinion is that heirarchy needs to be dismantled so that there is a more effective use of talent and resources...
