Revalidation commences this month
The criteria are:
1) Continuing professional development
2) Quality Improvement Activity
3) Significant events
4) Feedback from colleagues
5) Feedback from patients
6) Review of complaints and compliments

It seems that many of these are very subjective.
Should the criteria become objective?

In my recent blog I argue that the criteria should become objective as soon as possible:

I agree that many of the areas are subjective. But issues such as feedback will always be subjective but none the less very useful. What we do is not just a science but involves aspects of art

Zook, I agree subjective is very useful. But whether it should dominate the criteria which has the potential of changing the course of a doctor's career is a crucial question.
