1. The government veto demands/ FoI request to publish the risk register on the Health and Social Bill. Is there anything more than can be said or done? Read and contribute your thoughts to our related discussion: NHS reforms: the biggest cover up since the invasion of Iraq
2. A scheme in Dundee to persuade people to give up smoking by giving them £12.50 worth of food vouchers, and nicotine patches etc has been evaluated. Only 9% had given up at one year. More to follow in BMJ news.
3. Will the Queen’s speech include a Bill on social care? Do we need a proper funding system to support this? |
