This is my final blog post as a medical student, for a site that has ignited so much interest in me; a place that helped me grow and meet some of the most fabulous people the BMJ and its online community could offer. As a medical student, we are given 3 months to conduct our own research in any given field. This is an exciting opportunity, as it gives us 3 months to concentrate on another aspect, and significant part, of medicine. Without research, medicine would remain stagnant, unchanged... without research, we would not be able to improve our services and provide better patient care.
